Chef Sonia El-Nawal of Rooster Boy Cafe has themed pastries to celebrate for Halloween and Day of the Dead. Now through October 31, Halloween-inspired cookies will be sold for $3.50 each. For Day of the Dead, Rooster Boy Cafe will be selling pan de muerto, a sweet bread that is traditionally eaten in Mexico during the weeks leading up to Día de Los Muertos, November 1-2 for $12. Downtown Las Vegas’ largest Halloween event, Gold Spike’s Fright Spike, returns with a VIP costume party on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31. Sand Dollar Lounge turns into NIghtmare on Spring Mountain through October 31 with Halloween decor and lighting. October 25 is Intergalactic night while October 27 brings “slutty anything night.” Seating will be by reservation. Walk-in customers will be seated per availability with priority given to those in costume on all nights. All safety and hygiene protocols will remain in place and rigorously enforced, including masks when not consuming food or drink.

Zuma at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has a Mexican Zombie cocktail drink for the month of October to celebrate Halloween and Day of the Dead. Served in a skull-shaped vessel, the cocktail is a twist on Donn Beach’s iconic Zombie cocktail made with Don Julio Blanco, Don Julio Reposado, mezcal, Velvet Falernum, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime juice, and absinthe.
