Hey, Carnivores! Here's an Epic Guide on Where to Take Vegetarians Out to Eat in Seattle

No longer is it okay to drag your vegetarian date to a restaurant where they'll be forced to cobble together a meal out of side dishes (unless you get a kick out of watching that sort of mess unfold). Veg dishes are not only abundant in Seattle now days, they're goddamn delicious and often found on the same menu as cooked animals.

Eater's Julia Wayne has a ton of suggestion on where to get some of the city's best meat-free dishes without having to sacrifice your meat cravings (or relationship). This Lebanese restaurant is full of small, shareable dips, spreads, veggies, and seasonal surprises, and a few amazing entrees. Everything is delicious, and it’s possible (by which we mean, we’ve done it on purpose) to consume so much perfect food you barely notice that none of it was made of animal.

The great thing about Il Corvo is that there are different menu options every day, with the kitchen crew consistently utilizing what's in season. There are three different pasta shapes and preparations daily, one of which is always vegetarian (andall可用的白汁沙司代替). This is a favorite lunch spot for lots of people. If you're not one of them, you might not like food.

Big props for the gnocchi with black truffle cream sauce at this sexy Belltown spot. If you think you're "over" truffles, hit up your mouth with this dish. See if it agrees.

Besides being one of the only Afghan restaurants in Seattle, this place is boss with their eggplant. Of their five vegetarian entrees, the Badenjan Borani is by far the best of the bunch, with perfectly textured eggplant and a flavorful garlic sauce to boot.

A beautiful atmosphere with solid falafel sandwiches and kale gratin you might write poems about. Not ideal for vegans, but we were too be too busy chowing down on our moules frites to notice.

Here, some incredible options for just about everyone. With eight vegan entree options and a Vegetable Kofta at least one person (probably) described as their preferred last meal on earth, it's reasonable to say this would be a killer dinner destination.

Wedgwood II Vegetarian Thai

The confusingly named Capitol Hill joint is full-on veggie, but carnivores maw down the super fresh-tasting noodles, excellent spring rolls, and flavorful curries. Unlike other vegetarian Thai places not mentioned here, they don’t add a bunch of stock veggies to their food as filler, and their tofu is amazeballs.

Really wanna impress your peeps? Take them to Jason Stratton’s magic land and feed them the Tajarin al Burro e Salvia: The most delicate pasta imaginable, decorated only with butter and sage. It’s perfect in every way.

They treat all their plant and animal children with love, but their Forest Floor Frenzy is among the best pasta, mushroom, and straight-up entrees in town. With handmade pappardelle and creamy sherry sauce, it’s worth the wait for a funky night at this Wallingford restaurant.

If you can stand to wait in line, the Tofu Delight is true to its name, and the Onion Obsession sandwich is a sandwich made out of onions, which is delightful as well. Meat eaters shouldn’t miss the #1 and #2 pork sandwiches. But don’t forget to steal bites from your vegetarian friends.

Mexican food is often pretty friendly to the vegetarians among us, but vegans can have a tougher time, since sauces at many restaurants often include secret cream and egg. But at the Chup, you can get four kinds of vegan “meat,” which are treated to their own special sauce preparations. They swear it tastes just like food!
