The quadrennial World Cup is here, pitting the world’s best men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. Given that the games take place in Russia, the matches benefit the early risers, with most of the start times commencing between 5 and 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Luckily, bars, breweries, and gastropubs across Los Angeles are getting in the soccer spirit, opening their doors early to show the matches on the big screens, many with food and drink specials. Plenty of early openings for die-hard soccer fans
Wurstküche Restaurant Venice
Sausage bierhall Wurstküche will open its Venice location to screen the early morning FIFA World Cup games from June 16 through July 15. During the matches, feast on exclusive breakfast dishes like a chicken apple sausage topped with cheesy eggs and jalapeños, along with coffee and beer.

Pitfire Pizza
Throughout the duration of the World Cup, all seven locations of Pitfire Pizza will open early to show all the games on big screen TVs with breakfast and brunch happy hour until noon. Look out for specials like breakfast pizzas and $5 beer and wine.
Gravlax
Beginning June 15, Scandinavian and Turkish specialist Gravlax in Culver City will open its doors for the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. games. As one would hope, expect bagels with gravlax and cream cheese with the works, along with hot dogs during lunch.
The Stalking Horse Brewery & Freehouse
Die hard soccer fans will do well at The Stalking Horse this weekend, which will get an early 7 a.m. start. The brewery will hawk $4 drafts while the games are showing on the projector screen and TVs.
Common Space Brewery and Tasting Room
There may be no better place to catch the World Cup in the South Bay than newcomer Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne. With a massive 150” projection screen, food trucks, and ample craft beer, it is worth waking up early to cheer on one’s favorite teams.

Biergarten LA
With a menu that reflects the collision of Korean and German pub fare, Biergarten in Koreatown is an ideal place to catch the World Cup games, including Sunday’s 8 a.m. Germany vs. Mexico and Monday’s 5 a.m. Sweden vs. South Korea, on all 11 TVs and projection system with sound.
Guelaguetza Restaurante
Oaxacan legend Guelaguetza will open as early as 6 a.m. for morning games. Soak up bottomless micheladas with breakfast specialties.
Nick & Stef's Steakhouse
As soon as Downtown’s Nick & Stef’s opens at 11:30 a.m. on weekdays, expect the afternoon games to be playing on the screens. The steakhouse is offering a special World Cup Happy Hour menu available in the bar throughout the duration of the matches. Expect dry-aged steakhosue meatballs, crab cakes, an $18 burger, and $6 draft beer and wine.
The Greyhound Bar & Grill
During the week, The Greyhound will open daily at 10:45 a.m. for every 11 a.m. game, and this Sunday, catch the Germany Mexico game when the bar opens at 7:45 a.m. with a full breakfast menu. Also on tap are $4 Carlsbergs and happy hour wing prices ($5.25 for 5 wings and $10 for 10 wings).
Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden
Long Beach beer garden Rasselbock will screen the games on all the TVs both inside and on the patio, making it an exceptionally pleasant place to cheer on the Iberian derby between Spain and Portugal.
