There are plenty of Southern California teams competing in the Big Dance this year: San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, USC, and UCLA, with the UCLA Bruins among the favorites to win the NCAA men’s basketball championship. But like every year, top-seeded teams are often removed by scrappy schools that want it more — and that’s part of the fun.
