With an ongoing pandemic squashing plans for large-scale soirees, glitzy galas, and late-night toasts at restaurants and bars, this New Year’s Eve is shaping up to be an abnormally boring night in D.C.

But that’s not stopping restaurants from rolling out the red carpet with top-notch takeout designed to properly bid adieu to an epic fail of a year. From lavish caviar or truffle add-ons to superb bottles of bubbly and wine, diners are encouraged to dress to the nines in their quarantined confines while ringing in 2021 over a decadent to-go dinner.
